Nick has been a freelance outdoors journalist for over 15 years, and his writings along with Our Outdoors have been published in over 20 periodicals and websites throughout the upper Midwest. His diverse interests include upland hunting, bow hunting, trap shooting, fly tying, lure making and multi-species angling. Throughout his career, he has been a volunteer with a number of outdoor organizations, working to get youth into the outdoors, improve public hunting access and bolster conservation of marginal lands to benefit not only wildlife populations but also clean water for everyone downstream.
